I love buying toys that are made in the USA but parents know that is not always easy to accomplish. Which is not to say that we don't have a playroom overflowing with toys that have been made in China and elsewhere, because we do. But more and more I find myself tossing toys that look dubious to me as far as safety goes, and renewing my commitment to try and purchase USA made toys.

Thus I was delighted to learn about Gator Tots . The first thing that excited me about this company is the fact that it is was started by and is run by a 4th grade teacher turned stay-at-home-mom. That mom, Diane, now uses her educational background to search for unique educational toys and offer them to parents on the Internet. I always love finding a mom that has started her own business---so very awesome in my book!

Gator Tots also offers imported unique kids gifts made by responsible companies from Germany, France, Italy, and other fine countries. Safety and toys are a big concern for parents more than ever these days, so it is comforting to find a business where the owner shares those same concerns and maintains high standards for the products sold.

Colorful and whimsical would probably describe the great selection of toys Gator Tots offers....from stuffed animals to wooden toys to preschool learning toys, there is something for just about every age group, even babies. Gator Tots also carries BPA Free Sippy Cups and other PVC & BPA Free Items as well.

I have my eyes on a wooden set of cars ...soo cute...that my two year old can enjoy playing with, and I won't freak out if he decides to "taste test" them!

American Baby Names Best Products For 2008

It's official--my favorite diaper rash creme has made the top ten list of American Baby 's Best of 2008 Awards. Lol, I am serious....I think over the years I have tried just about every diaper rash creme out there with my kids. But when I used Boudreaux’s Butt Paste with my youngest son, I was thrilled (literally) to see ow well it worked! And you have to love that name. I know it sounds kind of pathetic that something like diaper rash creme can make me so happy, but if you are a mom, chances are you know of what I speak, LOL.
